How do I become a member of Business Network Chicago?
Business Network Chicago tracks membership through a Yahoo group, BNC_Chicago. The Yahoo group is used to communicate with BNC members. To join, send an email to BNC_Chicago-subscribe@yahoogroups.com or go to the BNC_Chicago group in Yahoo and click the Join This Group! button.
How do I get emails on job leads and upcoming networking events?
BNC members share information about jobs and networking events by sending email to the BNC_Chicago Yahoo group. When you become a BNC member you are automatically set up to receive email sent to the group. You can control the number of emails that you get per day by setting your message delivery preference in your Yahoo profile. See the following two FAQs for more information on controlling email.
Can I stop getting emails and still remain a member?
Yes. Log into the BNC_Chicago Yahoo group and click the Edit Membership link. Scroll down to Step 2, Message Delivery, select the Web Only option, and click the Save Changes button. You will no longer receive emails but can still read messages in the message section. of BNC_Chicago.
How can I control the number of emails from the BNC Yahoo group?
Yahoo provides four methods to allow you to control how much mail you get from BNC_Chicago. You can specify that you want each message as an individual email, you can specify that you want messages bundled together into a daily digest, you can specify that you only want special notices from the group moderator, or you can disable all messages and read them only within the Yahoo website. To change your group mail preference, log into the BNC_Chicago Yahoo group and click the Edit Membership link. Scroll down to Step 2, Message Delivery, and select the message delivery option that you prefer.
What networking groups does BNC have and when do they meet?
Business Network Chicago has 11 special interest groups that meet each month over lunch to network and exchange information. Each group meets from 12:00 noon to 1:30 PM. The date and the location can vary so check the BNC calendar each month for details or contact the event leader for more information. BNC has the following networking groups:

What do I have to do to attend a BNC event?
All Business Network Chicago events are open to everyone. You don't need to be a member to attend. The lunch events require an RSVP to the event leader to attend. Please contact the event leader via email or phone if you plan on attending. There is no need to RSVP for an evening social event.
How do I terminate my membership in BNC?
To terminate your membership in Business Network Chicago, send an email to BNC_Chicago-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com.
