Lean Startup Method 101

After listening to Bernhard Kappe’s presentation last week, I felt both excited and concerned. It was clear I might be missing some steps in doing the best job of starting a new segment of my business. While I realized I have more research and validation to do, Bernhard made it easy for me to know exactly what I should do…and how to do it most efficiently and economically.

We may think we have a great idea, but “Are you solving a problem that REALLY needs solving?” That’s a key question Bernhard said we need to ask. And, does that problem call for a “vitamin” solution – one that just might make things a little better; an “aspirin” solution – this will ease the pain; or  is it a “morphine” solution – one that will take away the pain completely and make everything feel good again. This really puts things in perspective, doesn’t it?

This is just one byte from an evening filled with great information presented by an engaging professional who really knows his stuff. Thanks, Bernhard, for sharing some great information and direction for all the entrepreneurs in the room. I, for one, thoroughly enjoyed a fun and mind-opening evening.

Here is a video of Bernard explaining what Lean Startup is: Lean Startup Methodology

Meet Author and BNC Entrepreneur March Event Presenter Jeff Weber

The stories of fast rising stars like Groupon and Facebook make it seem like extremely successful start-up companies just grow up overnight. However, the transition from start-up to viable business is a complex and difficult period for most entrepreneurs, requiring a different focus and skill set to see success. We recently sat down with entrepreneur expert and author Jeff Weber to discuss plans for his BNC Entrepreneur presentation on March 9th.  Jeff will share tips and strategies to prepare entrepreneurs for the big transition from start-up to running a business.

In this first clip, Jeff gives us a sneak peak of what he plans to discuss with the group on March 9th.

Here, Jeff reveals the difficulties entrepreneurs face during the start-up to running transition.

Jeff shares how his own experience as an entrepreneur inspired I.D.E.A. to Exit.
